Bahrain Bourse (BHB), licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, has officially launched the 27th edition of its flagship TradeQuest Program, engaging high school and university students for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Participating students, along with their school and university advisors, attended the launch event alongside investment advisors who will mentor and guide the teams throughout the program.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse said, “TradeQuest continues to play a vital role in fostering financial literacy and investment awareness among Bahrain's youth. Through this program, we aim to bridge the gap between education and real-world financial practices, empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to navigate today's dynamic markets with confidence."
TradeQuest is a business-education partnership initiative designed to give students hands-on exposure to investment trading and the dynamics of global financial markets. First introduced in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 1997 in collaboration with financial institutions and educational organizations, the program has since received continuous support from leading banks and financial entities.
Spanning five months and structured into three progressive stages, TradeQuest offers participants a hands-on learning experience in financial market operations. Students gain practical exposure to trading rules and regulations, share analysis, and portfolio management of instruments listed on both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Bahrain Bourse. The top three teams from each category, totaling nine finalist teams, will be awarded cash prizes amounting to BD 30,000.
Throughout the program's three trading periods, teams are required to present their investment strategies, objectives, and performance results to a panel of judges at the end of each stage.
The 2025-2026 edition of TradeQuest is supported by Strategic Partner: The Labour Fund (Tamkeen); Platinum Sponsor: Khaleeji Bank; Gold Sponsors: Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), Bank ABC, BBK, and SICO BSC (c); Silver Sponsors: Gulf International Bank (GIB) and United Gulf Bank; and Knowledge Partner: Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF).
